Makes approximately 12 falafel balls. This recipe has been sponsored by LoveRaw.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tins chickpeas

  • 1 medium-size onion

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 1tsp dried oregano

  • 20g fresh parsley

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Juice from ½ lemon

  • 1 ½ tsp LoveRaw Immunity – Organic Food Booster

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

METHOD:

  1. Begin by removing the chickpeas from the tins and wash them thoroughly with cold water to remove any of the pulp.

  2. Place the chickpeas into a powerful food processor, along with chopped onions, chopped garlic cloves and the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Pulse until the ingredients combine together; do not over pulse as you do not want the mixture to be too mushy, you want it to be quite coarse.

  4. Taste for seasoning before rolling the mixture into falafel balls – roll the mixture into balls and place in the fridge for approximately 1-2 hours to firm.

  5. Pre-heat the oven to 200C, place the falafel balls over greaseproof paper and bake in the oven for approximately 30-40 minutes.

  6. Serve the falafel with your favourite bread, salad and dressing.
